Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024

Wes Ball and Josh Friedman are the directors and writers of the 2024 American science fiction action picture Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It is the fourth film in the Planet of the Apes reboot series and the tenth overall. It is a stand-alone sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). In addition to Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy, Owen Teague plays the main part. The movie, which is set 300 years after the events of War, centers on a young chimpanzee named Noa and a human lady named Mae as they set out on a quest to decide what will happen to apes and humans in the future.

After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, work on a new Planet of the Apes movie commenced in April 2019. Ball was confirmed as the film's writer and director that December. Casting for the film will begin in June 2022, after the script is finished. A significant portion of the story was written in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. That August, Teague was cast for the lead part; in the months that followed, the title and other cast members were disclosed. Sydney hosted principal photography starting in October 2022 and ending in February 2023.[5][6]

Filming Principal photography for the working title Forbidden Zone started in October 2022 at Disney Studios Australia in Sydney, with financial support from the Australian government to a lesser extent [41]. The last day of filming was February 15, 2023.[42] Ball noted that motion-capture technology was generally used in conjunction with on-location filming.[43]
