Venom: The Final Waltz

At last, the third entry in the "Venom" franchise has a title: "Venom: The Last Dance." The movie was originally scheduled to be released on November 8, however Sony has since pushed that date back to October 25, 2024.

Although the picture also stars Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo, the plot elements are yet unknown, but Tom Hardy will reprise his role as the deadly guardian Eddie Brock/Venom.

This film will be Kelly Marcel's first feature-length directing endeavor. She and Hardy constructed a plot, from which she penned the screenplay. Producing are Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel, and Hardy.

Filming

At the box office, the first two "Venom" movies—Rube Fleischer's 2018 "Venom" and Andy Serkis' 2021 follow-up "Let There Be Carnage"—collected a whopping $1.3 billion.

In April 2022, Sony made the initial announcement that a third movie was in production during its CinemaCon event. This project will mark Venom's first public appearance since a cameo in the credits sequence of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021.

Temple spoke candidly about the project with Variety in February, hinting that production was almost over. "At this point, we're almost done," she stated. It's been an amazing and crazy journey. I've never seen it before. What a large set! This is absurd. I got to work with and it's been so much fun.

The film, which was originally scheduled for November 8, will now open in theaters on October 25, 2024.

The SAG-AFTRA strike last year put a stop to "Venom 3" production, but at the end of November, filming resumed.
